How should I care for my treated site(s)?
-
A blister may occur at the treated site. If it does, leave the blister intact until the skin heals. Blisters can often fill with clear fluid and even blood (not uncommon). If the blister is causing pressure and this is causing pain, you may take a clean, sterile needle and gently open the blister to relieve fluid/pressure. Do not attempt to remove the detached skin as it will protect the wound base and expedite healing.
-
If you put Vaseline/petroleum jelly on the treated area (after cleaning with mild soap and water) and cover the site with a bandage it may heal more quickly.
-
Do not pick or rub off crust that develops.
-
Protect the treated areas from sun exposure.
-
If original spot remains after several weeks, you may need re-treatment.
